Starting March 27th, you can visit our scenic vineyard tasting room from 11am-6pm seven days a week. Ready to raise a glass? Join us for Open That Bottle Night. This annual tradition was created by @wsj wine columnists to encourage people to go ahead and pop the cork on a bottle you may be saving for a special occasion. In other words, there's no time like the present. Here are a few ideas from longtime Winemaker Steve Anderson of Eola Hills wines that not only age beautifully but are tasting great today.

1. Eola Hills Barrel Select Reserve Chardonnay (specifically the 2015 and 2017 vintages). Often rated 90+ and tagged as a "Best Buy" from @wineenthusiast, this Chardonnay is typically barrel fermented and aged for 14-18 months creating a lush example with notes of tropical fruit and honey.

2. Eola Hills Wolf Hill Vineyard 667 Reserve Pinot Noir. According to Steve, any of the vintages of this single vineyard bottling from the #EolaAmityHills are as good or better than the day they were bottled.

3. Another favorite is Eola Hills' Colheita - In pursuit of crafting the perfect tawny port, Steve and Founder Tom Huggins embarked on an educational trip to Portugal. After days of laborious "market research," the duo decided that highlighting specific vintages would create complex and noteworthy port style wines from Oregon. After nearly two decades of aging, the 2001 vintage marks our latest release of "Colheita." This Cab-based Port style wine boasts a playful balance of citrus and honey characteristics propped up with notes of toasted almonds and a gentle, lingering sweetness at the finish.
